CMSV 2860 - Construction Plan Reading

This course walks students though an example set of construction documents including Architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings. Emphasis is places on understanding standard conventions and symbols and navigating a drawing set tofind specific information.
Learning Outcomes
Demonstration of ability to navigate a set of drawings to locate appropriate information including knowing the information contained in schedules, floors plans, elevations, sections, and details. Understand basic drawing conventions and industry standards symbols. Basic understanding of building specifications and the information that may be included in a spec book v. drawing set.
