ELEC 1110 - D.C. Electricity Theory and Lab

This course covers the properties of direct current electrical systems. The course investigates the properties of electrons, conductors, insulators, semiconductors, and electromagnetism. The course also instructs students on how DC voltage is produced, transmitted and used in the electrical field.
Learning Outcomes
Understanding the properties of voltage, current, resistance, and power- watts in DC circuits. Understanding the properties and importance of magnetism and electromagnetism in electrical systems. Applying ohms law to the electrical properties of DC circuits How to analyze, calculate, trouble-shoot, and evaluate DC circuits including series, parallel and combination DC circuits. Using electrical meters and test equipment to measure and test electrical circuits and components.
