This course covers the introduction to the equipment used for climbing. The use of this equipment will be applied to the act of learning to climb safely and correctly.
Learning Outcomes
Identify pole conditions to ensure structure is safe for climbing. Apply correct bod y position and climbing techniques while ascending and descending wooden poles. Demonstrate proper method to traverse around obstacles using secondary rope lanyard. Demonstrate proper application and adjustment of fall arrest equipment. Determine climbing gear conditions through proper inspections to prevent equipment failure. Identify climbing equipment and the specific use/application of each piece.
