HVAC 1395 - HVAC Commercial AAS Internship
2 Credits This course will be an assigned internship with a professional, licensed HVAC contractor. Students will experience real hands-on service work performed on residential and commercial HVAC equipment. Students will work under an experienced technicianapplying their knowledge accumulated from lecture/lab training.
Major Content Areas Following directions from a superior trainer/technician. Customer relations and using good people skills. Writing comprehensive reports as to the actions taken to perform the service call. Apply all aspects of training to the actual service call. Use of proper tools and materials as applied to the service call.
Learning Outcomes Demonstrate proper tool and material usage to the trainer/supervisor technician as applied to the service call. Demonstrate excellent communication skills when communicating to the customer regarding what was performed on the HVAC equipment.
