This history course explores world civilizations from prehistoric roots to Sumer, Egypt, Assyria, Israel, China and Southeast Asia, India, Greece, Rome, Africa and Europe to the Renaissance. Topics include political, cultural, religious, economic, intellectual and artistic development across regions and time.
Learning Outcomes
Develop skills on writing historical essays. Explore multiple perspectives on historical issues. Survey the major political, cultural, and social events in world history from prehistoric times to 1500. Analyze primary and secondary sources. Connect worldwide themes and trends through time from prehistory to 1500.
