4 Credits This course is designed for students who do not have any previous experience with hydraulics or pneumatic systems, and is an introductory course to hydraulics and pneumatics. The term Fluid Power incorporates both hydraulics and pneumatics, which both are covered during this course. Goals of this course are to help individuals acquire the knowledge and skills required to install, troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatics systems, including learning fluid power theory, components and their function, and how they function together to form a system.
Learning Outcomes Summarize the theories of fluid power.
Describe the role each component plays in a fluid power system.
Assemble and disassemble hydraulic & pneumatic systems per a system diagram.
