IETA 1900 - Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) Fundamentals
3 Credits This course covers the knowledge and skills required to install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLC) in automated control systems. Students will learn to write programs to solve basic control problems, connect sensors and actuators, andconfigure PLCs.
Learning Outcomes Connect analog and discrete input/output devices to the PLC.
Troubleshoot and repair a PLC control system.
Monitor and modify PLC hardware configurations and programs
Interpret PLC module specifications.
Read and understand basic ladder logic diagrams, programs, and electrical input output wiring diagrams.
