This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, manage and troubleshoot desktop clients in a network. Lectures, hands-on projects and exercises reinforce skills as they are learned. Specifictopic coverage includes: Installing; Using the System Utilities; Managing File Systems and Storage; Users, Groups, Profiles, and Policies; Security and Access Controls; Network Protocols; Printing and Faxing; Performance Tuning; Working with the Reistry; Booting Process; Fault Tolerance; Troubleshooting.
Learning Outcomes Upgrade from a previous version of Windows. Perform an unattended installation. Configure, manage and troubleshoot remote desktop and remote assistance. Restore and back up the operating system, system state data, and user data. Manage and troubleshoot access to shared folders. Configure and troubleshoot desktop settings. Configure and manage user profiles.
