ISTC 2100 - Project Management


3 Credits
Prerequisites ISTC 1015 

This course will provide fundamentals of planning and managing projects for information system (IS) organization. This includes creating components of a project which will involve schedules, using critical path, assigning resources, and tracking progress. Focus is on topics that are unique to management of projects in an IS department.

Learning Outcomes
Discuss project management software.

Define and develop components of a project: Work breakdown structure, scope, time, costs, stakeholders, resources, milestones, risks, and communication plans.

Understand the Project Knowledge Areas as defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge.

Understand global trends in Project Management, including Agile development.
