5 Credits Prerequisites Accepted into NCIDQ Certificate and IDES 1218
This course covers the interior design of public spaces. The design process will be applied, with emphasis on the design development phase (refining the design concept and focusing on design details) and the contract documentation phase (constructiondrawings and specifications). Students will continue to address commercial furnishings, lighting and finish materials. Synthesis of design elements and principles, building systems and regulations, sustainable design principles and product applicatin will be used in progressively complex commercial interior design projects.
