MKTC 2105 - Marketing Communications Writing
3 Credits Course examines how to write advertising copy for all areas of marketing communications such as the Internet, public relations, news media, scriptwriting, business writing as well as for print, radio, television and collateral media. Prerequisites: None.
Learning Outcomes Apply secondary and primary research techniques to determine a target market, how to reach them, and what message to use to encourage attention, interest, desire, and purchase of products and services. Describe the importance of research prior to creating marketing communications for the various media outlets. Explain the importance of communications strategies in the marketing mix. Analyze competition, target market, and industry information for establishing communications goals and objectives. Prepare business communications, including a memorandum, job request letter, and resume. Create communication components for the various media outlets.
