MKTC 2511 - Web Development for Marketers


3 Credits
Web development and digital marketing are important in successful marketing campaigns. Web development teams and marketing teams work together frequently, making it important for marketers to have a basic understanding of web development. Students will learn the basic tools of website development and coding to maintain web pages with various popular applications and web development languages. Techniques are taught to design sites that load fast, increase usability, and meet company objectives.

Learning Outcomes
Describe basic SEO and SEM strategies to increase targeted traffic and improve conversion rates.

Explain the importance of a marketer having a basic understanding of web development to promote digital marketing strategies.

Apply course concepts for building a website using digital strategies to improve a site’s navigation.

Describe the basics of web development protocol.

Use current web development applications in varying exercises to learn techniques to better plan a responsive web design for an organization’s target market.
