MCAP 2960 - Skill Development
3 Credits This course is designed to help students strengthen their understanding of key automotive fundamentals and improve hands-on technical skills in preparation for second-year coursework. Through a combination of lectures and lab activities, students will revisit essential topics such as basic electrical systems, vehicle maintenance, steering and suspension, brakes, and driveline fundamentals.The lecture component focuses on reinforcing theoretical knowledge, troubleshooting methods, and industry practices, while the lab component provides guided, practical experience in the shop. This course is ideal for students who need additional support due to missed content, challenges with core concepts, or a desire to build confidence and technicaproficiency.
