PSYC 1350 - Lifespan Development

This psychology course is an introduction and overview of the scientific study of development throughout the life span from prenatal through death from a developmental perspective.

Learning Outcomes
Explain the impact of teratogens on fetal development.

Identify key milestones of physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development of all stages across the lifespan.

Develop ideas for prevention and intervention strategies for issues and abnormalities that occur at different stages across the lifespan.

Apply ideas from major developmental theorists.

Evaluate the effectiveness of different parenting styles based on developmental theories and research evidence
