ADMS 1020 - Office Procedures
4 Credits This course covers the areas that develop skills in understanding and performing typical office tasks. Topics include communication, the changing workplace, handling mail, file management, understanding cultural diversity, customer service, and workplace etiquette.
Learning Outcomes Develop an awareness and understanding of a culturally diverse workforce. Identify office health, safety, and ethical issues. Use effective time management techniques. Create and manage file management systems. Recognize and understand the role of customer service in the workplace (internal and external customers). Describe the changing office environment. Define and utilize workplace communications: oral, written, verbal and non-verbal.
