ASEP 1108 - Brake Systems

This course covers theory and practice of servicing brake systems on General Motor’s vehicles. Systems will include disc/drum brakes, brake boost systems, hydraulic systems and electronic brake controls.
Learning Outcomes
Summarize safe operation, diagnosis and repair of General Motor’s vehicle brake systems. Examine vehicles brake system condition and make proper repairs based on General Motor’s Service Information. Identify components and explain brake system components operation. Appraise brake system operation after corrective repairs have been made. Describe operation of electronic brake controls including anti-lock brakes, electric parking brakes and automatic braking systems.
