ASEP 2110 - Automatic Transmissions

Prerequisites ASEP 1101
Students will learn to diagnose automatic transmission issues and perform repairs. Front wheel drive and all wheel drive transaxles as well as rear wheel drive transmissions will be covered.
Learning Outcomes
Assemble automatic transmission and reinstall in vehicle. Evaluate operation of completed automatic transmission repairs. Analyze all automatic transmission internal components for replacement or reuse. Apply proper procedures for automatic transmission removal and disassembly. Explain automatic transmission power flow through all gear ranges. Assess automatic transmission operation and determine proper corrective action. Inspect servo bore, piston, seals, pin, spring, and retainers; determine necessary action
