AUTM 2218 - Automotive Engine Fundamentals

This course covers the disassembly, measurements, repair and re-assembly of automotive engines. This includes cylinder head diagnosis and repair, valve train diagnosis and repair, and engine block diagnosis and repair.
Learning Outcomes
Access automotive service information and technical service bulletins to perform step by step service procedures. Perform diagnosis and repair operations on automotive engines in accordance with ASE standards. Perform diagnosis and repair operations on automotive valve train components in accordance with ASE standards. Demonstrate compliance with current automotive industry safety and Environmntal standards. Perform diagnosis and repair operations on automotive cylinder heads in accordance with ASE standards. Establish automotive engine mechanical timing as well as diagnosis and repair of related components in accordance with ASE standards.
