BUSN 1210 - Project Management
3 Credits Understand the project management process and learn to utilize the appropriate tools to initiate, plan, execute, control and close projects. Learn to apply knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to project activities to meet project requirements. Understand how organizational planning impacts the projects by means of project prioritization based on risk, funding, and the organization’s strategic plan.
Learning Outcomes Plan a work or personal project applying the skills and knowledge learned inclass using tools such as Gantt charts, flow charts, and others. Define methods for monitoring and evaluation of the project’s success whilesetting standards for contingency planning. Relate effectively with team members by assigning personnel, authority andresponsibilities. Balance competing project constrains including, but not limited to: scope,quality, schedule, budget, resources and risk. Address various needs, concerns and expectations of the stakeholders as theproject is planned and carried out.
