Program outcomes
Employ advanced CAD functions to prepare civil 3D drawings.
Create preliminary topographical surveys and aerial photogrammetry using UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), through LIDAR or photo stereoscope, RTK GPS, Robotic or two-person total stations, or level.
Explain construction staking for civil projects.
Employ materials testing techniques to become certified by MN Dept of Transportation.
Describe basic hydrology.
Employ specialized software such as EPA SWWM.
Demonstrate through civil engineering field experience the ability to work as an entry-level civil technician.
Create subdivision plats using civil 3D software.
Upload and download data and points from the office to the field and back.
