Learning to climb safely along with the use of digger/derrick units. It includes an introduction to pole framing and guying applications, along with an introduction to the use of rigging to the industry.
Learning Outcomes
Apply different guying techniques and assembly them with tools and rigging to support structures and equipment. Continue honing safe climbing techniques and demonstrate how to traverse over obstructions with fall arrestequipment. Demonstrate wood pole handling and setting through manual or powered equipment and techniques. Identify electrical distribution equipment and properly assemble equipment to support structures.
