This course cover s the use of different drawing s, map s, and construction materials used in the lineworker’ s field. This include s the list of material s and specification s. Use of the transit will be introduced and applied to the lab field whereline s will be staked for future building as a project.
Learning Outcomes Determine construction material needed by use of NESC specification sheets, create staking sheet, material lists and construction mapping. Identify proper placement for tangent, angle and dead-end structures with vertical or horizontal construction applications. Apply proper use of staking equipment, placement of pole line and anchor stakes, measurement of angles and span lengths. Define and apply knowledge of minimum approach di stance s, radial, loop fee d, and duplicate supply overhead and under ground systems.
