GRDT 2400 - Adobe Photoshop II
3 Credits Prerequisites GRDT 1010
This course builds on the tools and techniques learned in Adobe Photoshop I. The student will use and become more proficient with all the tools, especially the adjustment layers, layer styles and layer masks. The actions panel will be used to facilitate work with many photographs. Students will composite photos using various techniques.
Learning Outcomes Apply non-destructive tools including masking, adjustment layers and smart objects to demonstrate professional composition practices. Select techniques and file formats for use in print, screen and presentation Use the graphic design process, including critique, to plan and develop effective image compositions Apply tools and techniques to create realistic and illustrative compositing, collage, correction, enhancement and repair of images and paint original artwork. Use Adobe Photoshop to create portfolio-quality raster-based graphic design products applying the elements and principles of design. Use appropriate color modes and ink specifications as required.
