MCAP 1402 - 4WD and AWD Systems

Prerequisites MCAP 1000
This course covers current automotive 4-wheel drive and all-wheel drive systems used on late model vehicles. Students will learn diagnosis, repairs, and operation of each system.

Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate compliance with current automotive industry safety and environmental standards. Perform diagnosis and repair operations on automotive transfer cases. Students will be able to describe power flow of transfer cases in accordance with ASE standards. Demonstrate diagnosis and repair of automotive 4WD/AWD systems in accordance with ASE standards. Access and utilize service information and technical service bulletins to perform step by step service procedures.
