PNSG 1620 - Clinical II
4 Credits Prerequisites PNSG 1010 , PNSG 1355 , PNSG 1400 , PNSG 1600
Clinical II provides the student an opportunity to apply nursing judgement using evidence based care, critical thinking and clinical judgement to implement safe, patient/relationship centered care to individual patients across the lifespan (includingmaternal/child/pediatric). The clinical student reflects on the value of patient centered care, teamwork and collaboration, informatics, quality improvement, safety, managing care of the individual patient, and nursing judgement/evidence based caren his/her career as a LPN.
Learning Outcomes Demonstrate appropriate use of technology to maintain patient confidentiality and access reliable information and resources. Demonstrate and provide evidence for prioritizing problems and identifying appropriate interventions and monitoring the patient’s response across the lifespan. Evaluate one?s communication skills and cultural sensitivity when working with diverse patients, compare individualized established plans of care across the lifespan and provide health care information while considering the patients culture, experience, and knowledge of his/her own health.
