PTEC 1130 - Process Plant Sciences
3 Credits Prerequisites PTEC 1100 and PTEC 1120
Introduces students to the foundational scientific principles underlying process operations, with a focus on hydrocarbon chemistry, physical science, phases of matter, and catalytic processes. Students will explore the behavior of hydrocarbons, the application of physics in process systems, and the role of catalysts in refining and chemical manufacturing. Emphasis is placed on practical application, troubleshooting, and safe operation of systems involving hydrocarbons and catalytic reactions.
