ELEC 1210 - Analog and Digital Electronics Theory
2 Credits Prerequisites ELEC 1110 , ELEC 1120 , MATS 1205
This course covers the theory of semiconductors, power supplies, amplifiers, digital circuits, microprocessor applications, sensors and applies the theory of both ELEC 1110 and ELEC 120 courses.
Learning Outcomes Review amplifiers and how they are used in a circuit. Apply the theory of diodes to construct a D/C power supply and calculate the output. Review timing circuits and how they are used in a circuit. Draw circuits using semiconductors to build common circuits used in daily life. Identify the different digital gates and how they function. Review circuits to control an A/C sign wave to affect a desired output.
