Electrical Lineworker, A.A.S.

Program Outcomes

Apply basic electrical principles to electrical power distribution.

Climb and work from heights.

Construct overhead and underground distribution systems .

Understand the theory and construction of single/three phase transformer banks.

Safely operate job-related equipment (e.g., digger derrick, bucket truck, backhoe).

Understand the theory of system protection (e.g., reclosers, cap banks, regulators).

Additional Information

This program has additional costs for tools and a CDL license.

An Unrestricted Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required to graduate from this program and is incorporated into ELLW 1155 .

All ELLW courses must be taken in the sequence below. Please contact your program advisor with questions.

Additional Requirements: 15 Credits


Total Program Requirements: 60


* Program Prerequisite: Students must pass ELLW 0098 - Introduction to Climbing  before taking any other ELLW courses. This course is offered every summer in July.
